The Higher Education Academy supports and collaborates with HE institutions to enhance the quality of teaching. Our strategic role includes brand evolution, positioning development, audience research and website design and delivery.

With a distinctive rebrand, we successfully created a look and feel for the brand that could appeal to the HEA’s wide ranging audience of Higher Education individuals and institutions. The HEA’s ‘mobius’ logo mark represents their key proposition; to continuously improve teaching quality.

How we reinforced the


The HEA Ribbon flows through all of HEA’s photography and creative, creating a distinction from others in the sector. As well as complementing the logo mark, it represents both their key proposition of ‘Continuously Improving Teaching Quality’ and their strapline of ‘Transforming Teaching. Inspiring Learning.’ - as the ribbon continuously flows and twists through everything they do.

Responsive Website Design

The HEA’s responsive website was crafted in visual style, site architecture and user journey to create a highly functional, interesting space for various audiences - from individuals to large HE institutions. A bespoke content management system was developed in Drupal to allow for full client control and integration with their back-office systems.

Strong, confident and clear messaging is at the heart of HEA’s tone of voice and style. Throughout a range of press adverts, we revealed the HEA’s new brand and advertised key services.
